Summer Vacation

As the end of the school year rapidly approaches, students are getting ready for their summer vacations.

“I am going to Washington this summer,” Utica junior Caleb Noble said. “I am planning on taking a trip there in June to visit my boyfriend. Honestly though, I am most excited to just enjoy the break from school.”

Summer vacation is a great opportunity for everyone to soak in the warm weather.

“I am going to Key West,” Eisenhower senior Maddison Rouse said. “I have never been there before, so I am excited to see what it is like. I am ready to tan and do a lot of shopping.”

Summer break also provides extra free time to spend with loved ones.

“I will be spending some time up north this summer,” Eisenhower Math teacher Janelle Hoenle said. “I will be heading to Traverse City, Pentwater, Harbor Springs and Houghton Lake. I am excited to spend time with my friends and family and to not have to worry about setting an alarm.”

After a long and hectic school year, students are excited to relax and have some fun.

“I am going to Traverse City,” Ford sophomore Tatiana Creck-Serrano said. “Since we are vaccinated now, my mom is taking my friend and I there this summer. One of my best friends is coming into town, so I am going to be hanging out with her, too. I am most excited to look into colleges before I start my junior year. I am very nervous, but I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do. I am looking forward to researching schools and picking my major.”
